It’s been an incredible week of Thanksgiving Bonanza-ness! Across Hempstead, Coram, Huntington, Farmingville and Bedstuy we’ve shared tens-of-thousands of pounds of food.
But you know what, it’s not over yet! We have a special super secret Food Share tomorrow for buy nothing day.

The Hempstead Food Share Bonanza was amazing! Over 30,000 pounds of food, clothing and hot meals were distributed in just two hours. There was actually a sea of people that spanned the Train Station parking lot and the sight was simply uncanny.

As you read this literally tens-of-thousands of pounds of groceries are being loaded into dozens of cars by an army of hardcore-kick-ass volunteers. We've been cooking now for almost 72 hours and have made hundreds of meals that we'll be sharing later in the day.

Starting November 20th and going through November 25th Long Island Food Not Bombs will be holding its largest endeavor to date; it will include parties, Food Shares, copious amounts of decadent foods, the sharing of clothing, books and the organized efforts of thousands of community members. The largest of all these events will be Vegan Thanksgiving.
