Coram Thanksgiving Blanket/Sleeping Bag Share 2010 Flier

On Monday, November 22nd @ 5:30pm volunteers at the Coram Food Share will be distributing blankets and sleeping bags to anyone that needs them. It's just like the spirit of the first Thanksgiving, but instead of sharing smallpox to further genocide we’ll be sharing warmth to further solidarity.

A few things by Rose

I want to talk about a few things, Farmingville started with a meeting at a park in Port Jefferson on a
summer night. Several of us met; with some new faces, some old, and we
agreed on Farmingville for our third food share on Long Island. We
picked a night that would work for everyone, every week; and before you
knew it, Farmingville was our regular Thursday night Food Share.

And with that in mind we invite you to glance over some of our achievements in the past year.

Discussion & Thoughts - Thanksgiving Food Share Bonanza

The Hempstead Thanksgiving Food Share Bonanza was indeed the largest of all time - both in the scale of people and the sheer volume of what was shared. Within half an hour 10,000’s of pounds of fresh foods made their way into the grocery bags of hundreds of people.
