Long Island Food Not Bombs General Meeting, August 24th @ 7:30pm

If you've ever thought about getting involved with Long Island Food Not Bombs nows a great time. On Monday, August 24th at 7:30pm we will be having a general meeting about the Long Island Food Not Bombs movement in the Sky Room of the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington.

BE-IN / SOLARFEST!!

Long Island Food Not Bombs will be tabling and speaking at the Be-In/Solarfest in Brentwood, NY. We'll be at the festival on Saturday August 22nd. We will be speaking somewhere between 12 noon and 3pm, I know the range is sort of wide. All I know is that we'll be on for about 10 minutes.

Basically, if you're going to be at the festival keep an eye out for us.

Long Island FNB Vegan BBQ

On Saturday August 15th @ 6:30pm there will be a Long Island Food Not Bombs vegan BBQ at JonSTeps' house. Feel free to invite friends, bring vegan treats and booze.

It's $5 entry for all you can eat and free booze if you bring school supplies (which we'll be distributing at our Food Shares).

Mirschel Park Community Direct Action Gardening Project

From May 29th-31st Long Island Food Not Bombs will be revitalizing Mirschel Park (off of Atlantic Ave, ( one block West of Terrace Ave. ). We will be cleaning up trash, planting flowers and we might even paint a mural.
