Pies Not Bombs you say?
So heres the deal - Many people don't realize that the day after Thanksgiving is the most wasteful day of the year. Think about all those pumpkin and apple pies your local grocery store has stocked up; would you believe that most stores just toss them out after Thanksgiving Day?
Well it's true, and that's where we come in. On Friday, Nov. 23rd & Saturday, Nov.24th, Long Island Food Not Bombs will be collecting those pies for gorilla distribution to our neighbors across Nassau, Suffolk & Kings counties.
Think thousands of pies and new friends. It's an adventure that will help burn off all those holiday calories and educate the citizenry on the needlessness of hunger and waste. So why don't you Occu-pie with us?
